2026–2027 YOUTH IKWF WRESTLING SEASON
IZZY STYLE WRESTLING | WRESTLING IS LIFE
Welcome to the 2026–2027 Youth IKWF Wrestling Season at Izzy Style Wrestling!
Our season officially begins Monday, November 9, 2026.
At Izzy Style Wrestling, we pride ourselves on developing athletes through elite coaching, strong fundamentals, discipline, hard work, and a commitment to long-term success. Our goal is to build great wrestlers and even better individuals.
EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT: DYLAN RAGUSIN RETURNS TO IZZY STYLE!
We are extremely excited to welcome Dylan Ragusin, University of Michigan NCAA All-American and proud Izzy Style Wrestling alumnus, back to the program as one of our lead coaches for the 2026–2027 IKWF season!
Dylan’s wrestling journey represents exactly what Izzy Style Wrestling stands for:
- IKWF State Champion
- IHSA State Champion
- NCAA All-American — University of Michigan
- Izzy Style Wrestling Alumnus
Dylan grew up through the Izzy Style system, developed from a youth wrestler into one of the nation’s top collegiate competitors, and now returns to help develop the next generation of Izzy Style wrestlers.
Dylan will help lead our Youth IKWF program alongside our coaching staff, bringing his experience, technical knowledge, and passion for the sport directly to our young athletes.
His journey is proof of what we believe: Long-term development, hard work, patience, and trusting the process produce results.
We couldn’t be more excited to have one of our own back on the mat, helping build the future of Izzy Style Wrestling.
OUR PHILOSOPHY: LONG-TERM ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT
IZZY STYLE WRESTLING IS A LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM.
Our mission is not to create youth wrestling champions overnight. Our mission is to develop great wrestlers, strong individuals, and athletes who will succeed at the highest levels of this sport over time.
We believe in patience, discipline, consistency, and trusting the process. Winning at a young age is not our priority. Developing the skills, mindset, and love for wrestling that lead to long-term success is what matters most.
WE HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE FOR OVERBEARING PARENTS, UNNECESSARY PRESSURE, SIDELINE COACHING, OR PARENTS WHO PRIORITIZE WINNING OVER THEIR CHILD’S DEVELOPMENT.
If you are looking for a program where parents dictate training, question every coaching decision, chase rankings, or put unnecessary pressure on young athletes, IZZY STYLE WRESTLING IS NOT THE PROGRAM FOR YOU.
We expect parents to support their children, respect our coaches, trust our system, and allow our athletes to develop at their own pace.
Our coaching staff makes decisions based on what is best for each athlete’s long-term growth, not short-term results or parental expectations.
We coach the wrestlers. Parents support the wrestlers. Together, we develop champions.

COMPETITION SCHEDULE & PHILOSOPHY
Our wrestlers will compete approximately three weekends per month.
We require all wrestlers to take at least one weekend off from competition each month to focus on recovery, training, and improving the skills developed during previous competitions.
We believe young wrestlers need time to train, learn, recover, and enjoy the sport rather than compete every weekend.
IZZY STYLE WRESTLING DOES NOT COMPETE AT MIDGET STATE OR BANTAM STATE.
We do not believe that chasing major youth tournament titles at an early age is necessary for long-term development.
Instead, we strongly encourage our families to attend the NCAA Wrestling Championships. Exposing young athletes to the highest level of collegiate wrestling gives them a vision of what they can accomplish in the future.
Our goal is to build wrestlers who succeed when it matters most, not simply collect trophies at a young age.
